About the Institute of Economics and Finance
The Institute of Economics and Finance of the Warsaw University of Life Sciences operates within the scientific discipline of Economics and Finance. It was established on October 1, 2019 as a result of the organizational reform of the University.
The Institute is a research centre developing dynamically in accordance with the Development Strategy adopted until 2030. Strategy. The Institute implements the guidelines of the HR Excellence in Research Strategy and equal treatment and anti-discrimination.
The organizational structure and scientific profile of the Institute are made up of eight departments. Conferences are another important form of disseminating the Institute’s achievements and promoting the exchange of knowledge. Since, in the scientific sense, the Institute is the successor of the Faculty of Economic Sciences and the continuator of its scientific and research achievements, many of the conferences and scientific events held are cyclical. It should be emphasized that conferences are held regularly, despite the difficult conditions caused by the COVID-19 epidemic and the resulting need to change the classic conference formula from the direct in situ meetings to remote ones.
